In AdorationI look into thine eyes
Drown in lakes of wonder
Feel my spirit soaring
Clouds are torn asunder

Golden beams are dancing
Painting skies of blue
Wings that banish misery
Now wear a rainbow hue

Sweet the rising melody
That on heartstrings plays
To chase away past sorrows
And bring a brighter day

Thou art radiant beauty
With sunlight in thy train
Bringing waves of passion
To shatter every chain

To see thy perfect hand
Feel such softness on my cheek
The only pleasing prayer
This humble soul could speak?

The Poets TaleEchoes roll like mist
Faint stirrings of my heart
How to share these feelings
Or change the things that part

Courage fled so long ago
Self confidence a lie
The hammer blows of life
Made hope curl up and die

And yet within your eyes
Can I truly see a seed
Healing in your bosom
And in the words you bleed

I write in cryptic verse
Revealed like finest wine
In every word and stanza
Your radiant beauty shines

Praying needful prayers
I tell my poets tale
The quest to paint your beauty
And how I ever fail

But more than that my love
I clip my feeble wings
Afraid to say I love you
For all that it might bring...

The GiftEvening paints its splendor
Across a crystal sky
Stars and moon appearing
As sunbeams fade and die

Comes the sweetest music
Seductive and deceiving
Beckoning the senses
Spirit, slowly yielding

Floating, falling, needing
Heart take wing and fly
Surrendering to passion
Desire a pleading sigh

Come then honeyed darkness
And banish ordained death
Love that lives forever
And life that needs no breath

Drink this scarlet river
For all I am is thine
Death the path to life
Where spirits shall entwine...

The Moons DaughterA gentle blue caress
The subtle touch of night
Your heart softly beating
Beneath this silver light

Sacred jewel of Nyx
I long to hold thee near
To share my lonely world
And stem the falling tears

Moonlights chosen daughter
I hear your ageless song
Are these foolish yearnings
Or with you do I belong

Something calls within me
I feel and smell your land
Forests bathed in silver beams
And serpents in your hands

In this place of wonder
May savage wounds be healed
Or deep dreams and desires
Be magically fulfilled

Still I hear thy music
Though sense bids hope to cease
My errant heart still lingers
In search of love and peace..

The Impossible TaskHow to write a moonbeam
Or golden ray of light
Words to capture beauty
When heaven is in sight?

This poets quill may fail
Unfit for such a task
Though to paint such wonder
God's hand alone I'd ask

Mine eyes light upon thee
I struggle so to breathe
Lost in perfect rapture
Thy side I hate to leave

Child of Aphrodite
Radiant womanhood
Knowest that I love thee
And wouldst hold thee if I could?

Thou my heart hast stolen
I live for thee alone
Bound in these lonely chains
For love must I atone?

For one moment with thee
I would surrender all
To steal a heavenly kiss
And then on sword to fall...

Gentle WingsLike the sweetest melody
Loves stirring fills the air
Gentle wings of healing hearts
In sunbeams glisten fair

Unspoken are the yearnings
That silent souls dare hope
Heaven in a land of dreams
Before loves name is spoke

Spirits dance in courtship
Midst moonbeams silver light
Wonder in the weaving
Of natures ancient rite

Feel the breath of magic
That bids us walk above
To wander through the stars
As we declare our love...

Soft Tide of LoveThe moon shines in splendor
Against skies velvet blue
Night breeze softly stirring
Its caress with power endued

My will gently calls thee
Whispering dreams of love
My words in silver beams
Soft falling from above

Passion's river flowing
Fantasies stir and rise
Love's intoxication
Sails on sleep's soft tide

Let my heart possess you
Pray love take wings and fly
Lost in sweet sensations
Till dawn means dreams must die...

The WarningYes, I remember love
And passions roaring flame
The thrill of that first kiss
Desires you cannot tame

I recall the fervor
Love's roller coaster ride
How your heart beats faster
When she stands at your side

So listen when I say
Love to me's no stranger
And this my friend I've learned
She comes with hidden danger

Behold the walking wreck
That holds a broken heart
I was a better man
Till love tore me apart

Her hateful bitter blade
Just stole my world away
Gave it to another
It did no good to pray

They say that time heals wounds
That's such a sinful lie
Her's are scars I'll carry
Until the day I die

So my friend walk wisel

My RoseHow can I extol thee
Paint a perfect vision
Sing a golden sunbeam
Write what can't be written?

Soul of burning wonder
Angelic, perfect heart
Overwhelmed I struggle
To capture thee with art

How can words paint heaven
The beauty I perceive
The rising sun of love
Such words I cannot bleed

Unworthy this poor tongue
To ring with fulsome praise
To sing a truthful hymn
Would take me all my days

Daughter of creation
Sacred jewel of night
Within this lonely heart
Shines your radiant light

How to scribe such beauty?
One comparison I know
Thou my hearts desire
Art like a perfect Rose...

The Turning Page of TimeBeauty in a falling tear
Salty, tender token
Love it's sweet conception
Though in birth it's broken

The sun that once did shine
Declares the passing day
She takes the grace of light
And darkness holds it's sway

Clipped wings that once did soar
Bear not this bloodied heart
This pain not mine alone
We both did do our part

Yet love in its sad passing
So many blessings brought
Smiles and hurt together
Were not spent for naught

And dawn brings light anew
For each forgiving heart
Sweet healing and rebirth
As sad sea's simply part

So teary ocean passed
Behold the bright new day
Time a new chapter writes
What now will heaven s

LonelinessCruel day surrenders
To mists of softest dreams
I hear thy siren song
And walk in silver beams

Blossom rains in moonlight
Soft breeze brings thy caress
Sweet the song of nightingales
All by heaven blessed

In charmed world of wonder
This heart calls out for thee
My lonely, yearning soul
Pleads for what might be

Come then my Cleopatra
And fill this empty life
Wipe away the tears
And end this lonely strife...

And the moon bled...The moon was gently weeping
Her blood coloring the sky
Scarlet droplets billowing
And the wind was asking "why?"

Below the frost was busy
Painting all with ice
Ghostly pristine beauty
Her touch was so precise

The world wrapped in silence
So little noise to hear
Just a mournful sighing
And the echo of sad tears

The angel of death wept
His task a bitter blow
To carry these poor souls
What shame the world should know

In one arm Romeo
In the other Juliet
Death of star crossed lovers
Earth and moon would not forget

For hatreds bitter blade
Killed the heart of love
And cast the blackest stain
That saddened heaven above...

The FlowerAching winds of loneliness
Enfold this empty home
Here I sit in silence
Upon a pointless throne

Ruler of this keyboard
Ensconced before a screen
Living in the ether
And in a world of dreams

No warm and gentle arms
No tender, loving kiss
No sweet words of comfort
How did it come to this?

Is emptiness a mercy
Does sorrow set me free?
The chains of love no burden
If you would hold the key

Beautiful heart please hold me
End this torture with your kiss
Let love take root and blossom
It's flower our perfect bliss

Heavens Perfect WonderHeaven's perfect wonder
Sculpted in a dream
Born in lotus blossoms
Egypt's wondrous queen

High priestess of Isis
Within thee burning fire
Men could but adore thee
In thrall to deep desire

Caesar knelt before thee
Begged thou be his bride
Rome beneath his feet
Perfect beauty at his side

Oh bitter blade of hate
Thou saw poor Caesar bleed
Love lying in the dust
Cleopatra forced to flee

Then did comfort whisper
With seeds of greater love
Mark Anthony and Cleopatra
Love decreed from up above

Sweet and perfect passion
Two hearts that beat as one
Love by heaven anointed
Bright shining as the sun

Then tragedy unfolding
Greed

Beyond The RainbowFar beyond the rainbow
Where time falls into space
Colors spin a melody
And all things find their place

Some hearts call it heaven
To others it's Avalon
For some it's just a dream
But there we all belong

Hurts shall be forgotten
And peace grace every heart
Beauty won't be hidden
And souls will fly with larks

Tears will mark the birth of joy
And death shall be no more
For in this land of wonder
Love like rain shall pour

For every broken heart
And every wounded soul
This the angels promise
"My lord will make you whole"

To feel a thousand words
A spring of pure delight
The rising tide of love
That echoes through the night

Can you hear my whisper
The words I dare not write
The song my heart would sing
In rays of dazzling light

How to paint your beauty
The words I cannot find
Like a star in heaven
Your radiance doth shine

Sweet and gentle maiden
Love remains unspoken
For if you turned away
My heart and world... broken

So, in soft veils of sleep
My heart on wings will rise
Death and dragons I'll fight
And you shall be my prize...
