Me, A Monster?I miss time's flowing river
And the golden light of day
My loved ones still remembered
Oh the games we used to play

The past still lives in echoes
Though this heart be cold and still
So I bow this lonely head
And bloody tears my eyes do fill

Rally now my noble soul
On these things I will not dwell
For life still offers pleasure
And the past is not a cell

Beneath this silver moonlight
I watch the ghouls sweet frolics
Unearthing rotting caskets
For food that would give you colic

Then I walk with Constantine
As he haunts this hallowed ground
Gregarious for a monk
As many of us have found

So with my spirits lifted
I turn to h
Kadeth-LeePast the white capped mountains
And across a long dead sea
Lays a wondrous temple
In the land of Kadeth-Lee

Seven hundred winding steps
Behind a silver gate
Guarded by the dreaming monks
Who contemplate our fate

Beyond those stone cold stairs
Lays a golden land of dreams
Though if there you travel
Know that nothing's as it seems

Silver paths will lead you
To white sand and azure sea's
Time will fly forgotten
As you rest in a healing lee

Emerald paths will bear you
To forests rich and green
Where faerie folk will sing
Enchanting and serene

Sapphire paths will lift you
White wings unfurl and grow
Flying high with eagles

All In A Nights Work...In this hallowed cradle
I lay but do not sleep
Waiting for the sunlight
It's dying hour to greet

As the shadows lengthen
My thirst begins to rise
Eyelids slowing moving
I open blood red eyes

Fingers stretch and waken
Being dead is such a blast
Hunting in the moonlight
A sweet and pleasant task

Leaving this dark palace
I dance 'neath silver beams
Merging with the darkness
I listen for your dreams

When at last I find you
My pretty little prize
Haunting music calls you
I love how you comply!

From the blackest corner
I watch you in your bed
Turning dreams to nightmares
I play with your dear head

Slowly then I come to you
ShameStanding in the playground
Filled with fear and dread
All those hateful comments
Echoing in my head

Standing on the doorstep

Home's another nightmare

Why the bully's victim?
Or the abusers dream?
Born too soft and gentle
At least that's how it seems

I never did like sports
Or care much for a fight
That made me a target
To line up in their sights

The kids called me queer
Guess 'daddy' thought me gay
No one thought to ask me
They just enjoyed their play

And I have kept on paying
HellGathering darkness beckons
I watch my world close in
Sliding into private hell
For some forgotten sin

Come tidal wave of sadness
Wash every hope away
Drive me to the deepest depths
Then fight to make me stay

Unworthy, lost and lonely
Crush everything I am
Hold up that silvered mirror
For this unwanted man

Show me all my brokenness
The flaws I try to hide
Highlight every failure
Steal every trace of pride

Then leave me in the blackness
Without the will to fight
Helpless sniveling coward
So lost without a light

Crying tears of loneliness
In deep depressions maze
This iron grip far stronger
Than any man made cage

Reach ou

Why will you not listen
Oh love on fragile wings

Through icy rain and gales
Praying, hoping, dreaming
That love may yet prevail

We fly in search of you
For love forever destined
The love we know is true...
Gentle WingsLike the sweetest melody
Loves stirring fills the air
Gentle wings of healing hearts
In sunbeams glisten fair

Unspoken are the yearnings
That silent souls dare hope
Heaven in a land of dreams
Before loves name is spoke

Spirits dance in courtship
Midst moonbeams silver light
Wonder in the weaving
Of natures ancient rite

Feel the breath of magic
That bids us walk above
To wander through the stars
As we declare our love...

Enshrouded tomb of lore
Lingering in darkness
The legend of Lenore

Here sat he who loved thee
Neath dust the salt of tears
Love still echoes faintly
Despite the passing years

Dark tomes on dusty shelves
Muddy prints upon the floor
Well meant the dire warning
The Raven's "Nevermore"

Sweet heaven bids me run
Pray and don't look back
Yet I sit upon his chair
Seeking what we lack

For I am imprisoned
In love forever more
I looked upon the portrait
"The legend of Lenore"

On silken wings of light
Butterflies like jewels
Dancing in sweet delight

Divine melodic birdsong
Rapturous bubbling brook
Flowers in myriad colors
Magic, if thou wouldst look

Clear sky of azure blue
Awesome flawless frame
To thou who art beloved
On throne of golden flame

In thy light I wander
A child of burnished beam
Cares and woes all vanquished
As if walking in a dream

Thy kiss so warm and sensual
The bearer of delight
Handmaiden of perfection
How I love thy golden light

A bare and lonely place
Echoing with wishes
As tears run down my face

In the silvered mirror
A portrait of regrets
Upon the wall a trophy
For failing every test

Here there is no beauty
No winning truths to see
A legacy of hurt and pain
The sum of what must be

My suitcase of mistakes
So very hard to carry
The past cannot be fixed
However long I tarry

I stand upon the edge
See wonder in the stars
In the world behind me
So many wounds and scars

So sweet rising sun
Full of golden light
Banish please the darkness
And let this day be bright...

Our Hourglass...Sands of oblivion
In our hourglass of time
Pouring without mercy
A trickle so sublime

Life so very precious
We often seem to waste
Missing opportunities
The wine of joy to taste

Will the page we're writing
Be marked with sad regret
Longing and not living
With doubt and fear beset

Journey then in wonder
Live and love and play
Use each precious moment
And treasure every day...

I hear thy siren song

It seems to set the stage
Does wonders for your poem
I guess it's all the rage

Add a pinch of sexism
So people will engage
Wise and talented poet

Now before the judgement's start
And just in case you think I'm bitter
I have a sense of humor
I'm not above a little titter!

But this I truly wonder
As folk browse this site for Art
Of all our wonderful poems
Is this the best we can impart?
