The QuestHowling, raging storm
Skies of hurt and pain
Lost within the darkness
The heart I cannot tame

Why will you not listen
Oh love on fragile wings
Time and fate have spoken
No longer should we sing

Tender arms a memory
The echo of a kiss
Heaven rolled the dice
And took away our bliss

Still in hope we travel
Through icy rain and gales
Praying, hoping, dreaming
That love may yet prevail

Yearning, always yearning
We fly in search of you
For love forever destined
The love we know is true...

HellGathering darkness beckons
I watch my world close in
Sliding into private hell
For some forgotten sin

Come tidal wave of sadness
Wash every hope away
Drive me to the deepest depths
Then fight to make me stay

Unworthy, lost and lonely
Crush everything I am
Hold up that silvered mirror
For this unwanted man

Show me all my brokenness
The flaws I try to hide
Highlight every failure
Steal every trace of pride

Then leave me in the blackness
Without the will to fight
Helpless sniveling coward
So lost without a light

Crying tears of loneliness
In deep depressions maze
This iron grip far stronger
Than any man made cage

My Constant LoverSo gentle is your touch
That tender first caress
Yearning in your fingertips
That leaves my soul undressed

Naked here before you
I have become your toy
Knelt in thrall before you
Defeated I give you joy

Your hands roam unrestricted
Your touch so deft and true
Making such sweet music
There is no move you rue

Fire bereft of passion
Intensity without pleasure
Weakness and surrender
The qualities you treasure

Mistress all demanding
You know that I am yours
There is no resisting
The fire in dreaded claws

So deep you rip and tear
Such damage you inflict
You laugh to see me crying
At the pain that makes me sick

Joints you cau

Beyond...Beyond the sea of loneliness
And past forgotten shores
There is a realm of mystery
Though few can find its door

A world of dreams and wishes
Where cats fly in the sky
Puppies sail boats on rivers
With no one asking why?

Pilgrims travel silver paths
Their guide a plain white dove
Like ark's in search of land
These hearts just look for love

Here poets write with moonbeams
And paint what's in their heart
Never fearing brokenness
For hurt just plays a part

How sweet this place of wonder
Where rainbows serve as slides
And butterflies will lift you
To take that magic ride

And yet for all its splendor
There's something here I mi

The Poets Birth...Snow is gently falling
I feel it's cold caress
My world disappearing
All by ice possessed

Passions embers dying
Love falling from the sky
Screaming out to heaven
The simple question, why?

Helplessly I'm watching
I know my heart must die
A thousand broken shards
No more to rise and fly

The sky is cold and black
The stars so far away
Beneath this long dead moon
My crying soul must stay

I begged the sun, 'don't go'
Yet from my sky she fled
Left me alone and dying
And not a word was said

Love thy blade bites deeply
There's crimson on the snow
And from this bleeding heart
The hurting words shall flow

A Poets TaleThunder rolls through heaven
And lightening falls like spears
Pain is heard in howling gales
Rain hides the flow of tears

This heart it softly rages
Howls against the loneliness
Yet wears a happy mask
To hide what it won't confess

Hurt in every lonely step
That cold and empty bed
Memories of better days
That echo in my head

Here the battered keyboard
That helps to keep me sane
Words that bleed with hurt
And yet the truth remains

Within this wounded heart
Love to give I've plenty
All around is beauty
Yet my world is empty

Thus the pilgrim poet
Found his haunting voice
The cost by world extracted
That did not give him cho

My RoseHow can I extol thee
Paint a perfect vision
Sing a golden sunbeam
Write what can't be written?

Soul of burning wonder
Angelic, perfect heart
Overwhelmed I struggle
To capture thee with art

How can words paint heaven
The beauty I perceive
The rising sun of love
Such words I cannot bleed

Unworthy this poor tongue
To ring with fulsome praise
To sing a truthful hymn
Would take me all my days

Daughter of creation
Sacred jewel of night
Within this lonely heart
Shines your radiant light

How to scribe such beauty?
One comparison I know
Thou my hearts desire
Art like a perfect Rose...

The beautiful HauntingIn the sweetest birdsong
I hear a haunting voice
Memories of our love
That bid my heart rejoice

In floating cherry blossom
I see the beauty of thy face
Echoes of bright halcyon days
And thoughts of fond embrace

Love for just a season
Times river dried and gone
But you still live and breathe
In this heart you e'er belong

Lips that touched, our token
Like a flower pressed
Found between our pages
And living in this breast

Serene and cherished lover
I read your crafted words
Etched upon eternity
Such comfort they afford

Your eyes I see before me
They touch and warm my soul
Passions flame still burning
For you, who makes me

The FlowerAching winds of loneliness
Enfold this empty home
Here I sit in silence
Upon a pointless throne

Ruler of this keyboard
Ensconced before a screen
Living in the ether
And in a world of dreams

No warm and gentle arms
No tender, loving kiss
No sweet words of comfort
How did it come to this?

Is emptiness a mercy
Does sorrow set me free?
The chains of love no burden
If you would hold the key

Beautiful heart please hold me
End this torture with your kiss
Let love take root and blossom
It's flower our perfect bliss

The journeyThe softest silver stars
Paint love light in thine eyes
Pure, enchanting beauty
For thee my heart doth fly

Moonbeams light perfection
Each sweet enchanting curve
Whispering of passion
Without the need of words

Love, our wine and nectar
A sacred river flows
Whence and where unwritten
Save to high plateaus

Then in rainbows falling
Through light and time and space
Our love divine shall journey
As I look on thy face...

Red Rain...Within this empty world
The sky is never blue
Sunlight long forgotten
Just grey of every hue
Within this empty world
I walk and never rest
The burden that I bear
Just heaven's cruel jest
None can walk beside me
That road is cursed with pain
Perhaps it's all my doing?
I cause the cold red rain?
I don't ask for pity
Nor wallow in my tears
My fate I will embrace
Throughout the lonely years
Mistakes? Made so many
Afraid to face the truth
I never was 'just me'
And so I wasted youth
Fear it always chained me
I moved to worldly dance
So terrified and weak
I could not take a chance
I really was so stupid
I built my world on sand
Just trying to fit in
I never made my stand
I guess I broke some hearts
I know that I broke mine
Tears that keep on falling
And look like blood red wine
'If', the word that haunts me
The mirror in my soul
Right reason's, wrong choices
All leading to 'own goals'
Saw my inner beauty
As demon's in disguise
Fighting always fighting
Of course I lost the prize
To gentle I wa

The Impossible TaskHow to write a moonbeam
Or golden ray of light
Words to capture beauty
When heaven is in sight?

This poets quill may fail
Unfit for such a task
Though to paint such wonder
God's hand alone I'd ask

Mine eyes light upon thee
I struggle so to breathe
Lost in perfect rapture
Thy side I hate to leave

Child of Aphrodite
Radiant womanhood
Knowest that I love thee
And wouldst hold thee if I could?

Thou my heart hast stolen
I live for thee alone
Bound in these lonely chains
For love must I atone?

For one moment with thee
I would surrender all
To steal a heavenly kiss
And then on sword to fall...

My PrayerMy prison cell unseen
A bare and lonely place
Echoing with wishes
As tears run down my face

In the silvered mirror
A portrait of regrets
Upon the wall a trophy
For failing every test

Here there is no beauty
No winning truths to see
A legacy of hurt and pain
The sum of what must be

My suitcase of mistakes
So very hard to carry
The past cannot be fixed
However long I tarry

I stand upon the edge
See wonder in the stars
In the world behind me
So many wounds and scars

So sweet rising sun
Full of golden light
Banish please the darkness
And let this day be bright...

Beyond The RainbowFar beyond the rainbow
Where time falls into space
Colors spin a melody
And all things find their place

Some hearts call it heaven
To others it's Avalon
For some it's just a dream
But there we all belong

Hurts shall be forgotten
And peace grace every heart
Beauty won't be hidden
And souls will fly with larks

Tears will mark the birth of joy
And death shall be no more
For in this land of wonder
Love like rain shall pour

For every broken heart
And every wounded soul
This the angels promise
"My lord will make you whole"

Gentle WingsLike the sweetest melody
Loves stirring fills the air
Gentle wings of healing hearts
In sunbeams glisten fair

Unspoken are the yearnings
That silent souls dare hope
Heaven in a land of dreams
Before loves name is spoke

Spirits dance in courtship
Midst moonbeams silver light
Wonder in the weaving
Of natures ancient rite

Feel the breath of magic
That bids us walk above
To wander through the stars
As we declare our love...

The shipwrecked heartMy heart it had been shipwrecked
Wreckage laying on the shore
Such a sad and sorry sight
So unlike what had been before

Once a proud, majestic sight
Lost to a storm of pain and ice

Once mighty and now laid low
Hope and life slowly dying
With the sunsets fading glow

Didn't know how to start again
Looking back instead of forward
Eyes locked on consuming flames

My heart it had been shipwrecked
Then beautiful one, you came along

Another wrinkle, fresh today
Screams in furious anguish
Vain Countess Bathory

Servant, she comes running
Kneels at Elizabeth's side
Furious ringed hand hits her
Blood droplets seen to fly

Countess wipes her bloody face
And see's the wrinkles gone
Smiles into the mirror
Glad this miracles come along

So begins the nightmare
Beauty's price a hellish flood
Six hundred and fifty children
Each giving all their blood

Girls hanging from the ceiling
To provide a bloody shower
Throats cut by the hundred
Such was Elizabeth's power

Some were kept in cattle stalls
And daily milked of blood

Magic in the Telling

The seasons come and go
But some things never change
Love like ribbons bleeding
Simple words upon a page

Close my eyes and see you
Your echo will not fade
Memories silken soft
For in your light I bathed

Like the sweetest angel
With healing in your wings
You came to me in dreams
And led this heart to sing

Unsurpassed your beauty
Radiance shines within
How could I not worship
And how can love be sin?

Can't you hear me calling
Or see these falling tears
This heart for you will yearn
Through all my passing years

My love will never fail
You live within my heart
But sometimes I feel lonely
And my world falls apart

And so I bleed these words
Crimson mixed with rain
Magic in the telling
That seems to ease my pain...
