Heart SongLove it is a hunger
A powerful, burning need
Love it is a river
Born in a teardrops seed
Love it is a melody
That gives us wings to fly
Love it is a daydream
That's echoed in a sigh
Love it is a Prayer
That heals the hurting soul
Love it is a comfort
It's tender warmth enfolds
Love can raise and lift you
Love can break you down
Love can overwhelm you
So deep that you could drown
Love it has no reason
No logic and no sense
Love it is a marvel
What else is so immense?
Love can climb a mountain
And change a human heart
Love can cross an ocean
That keeps two hearts apart
Love it see's our beauty
And looks right through our flaws
Love if we just let it
Can open bolted doors
Love all things can conquer
For that's what love is for
Love if we just let it
Will show us heavens shore...

First LoveWhen the Sun has faded
And stars no longer shine
Memories shall linger
And pay no heed to time
Your smile left me breathless
Your face, I see it still
That 'accidental' touch
That gave me such a thrill
Those sleepless, lonely nights
That ushered loves first tears
The beating of my heart
Whenever you appeared
Innocence surrendered
Into your tender arms
First love lasts forever
We hold it like a charm
I will not forget you
You taught me, oh so much
Still my sweet beloved
I hunger for your touch...

Foolish HeartMy foolish yearning heart
A song of love it sings
With the chill of autumn
Soft falling tears it brings

It has learned no lessons
Nor built a thick stone wall
Lost within your beauty
It cannot help but call

I tried to hold it back
To tell it, 'let things be'
But flying to the stars
It said 'I will be free'

So then, I must tell you
That you're my morning sun
Basking in your heart light
I know the day's begun

Sat here at the keyboard
I search to find a trace...
Looking out the window
Imagining your face

This scarred and gentle heart
Once accepted 'lonely'
Now in the realms of sleep
It dwells upon you only

Time and ocea

Mother MoonPain that runs in rivers
Fire ripping me apart
Stomach, cramping, churning
Dear God my racing heart!
Think my flesh is melting
This moonlight, how it burns!
Bones feel like they're breaking
For death I pray and yearn
Strength and freedom rising
How sweet the forests smell
Werewolf, standing, howling
Where my weak body fell
In the night I hear you
My careless, foolish prey
Walking in the moonlight
Such loving things you say
Silently I stalk you
Sweet lovers, you've no clue
Feel my hackles rising
The hunt will soon be through
I know that you can see me
I want to smell your fear
Piss yourselves my victims
And know that death is here
Growling, ripping, tearing
I paint the trees with blood
Body parts are flying
I love death's crimson flood!
Two loving hearts devoured
Fun ended all to soon
Think I'll sit a while
And howl at mother moon!

The GiftEvening paints its splendor
Across a crystal sky
Stars and moon appearing
As sunbeams fade and die

Comes the sweetest music
Seductive and deceiving
Beckoning the senses
Spirit, slowly yielding

Floating, falling, needing
Heart take wing and fly
Surrendering to passion
Desire a pleading sigh

Come then honeyed darkness
And banish ordained death
Love that lives forever
And life that needs no breath

Drink this scarlet river
For all I am is thine
Death the path to life
Where spirits shall entwine...

Crimson ShardBeautiful crimson shard
Glistening on the floor
Some say thou art broken
Though I see something more

Dancing in the candlelight
I see the heart within
Starlight's wondrous beauty
Caught and held herein

Sweetest Crimson shard
Thy radiance enchants
Lost in sweet surrender
My heart begins to dance

I'll hold thee forever
Make thee all mine own
Beloved crimson shard
My heart will be thy throne

The PromiseBlood red skies the herald
Of dark unfolding night
Stars and moon give promise
Revealing sweet delight

Come oh breath of darkness
Bequeath thy gift so dear
Living death eternal
Thy kiss it holds no fear

Released of shrouds embrace
I leave thy comely womb
Palace, home and haven
My beloved, sacred tomb

This my treasured kingdom
Mountains, valleys and plains
King and bloody tyrant
Still my legend remains

The ruins of my castle
Hold yet my lonely throne
Here you are imprisoned
Your life and soul my own

Tremble then my darling
There is no hope of flight
I love to see you quiver
In flickering candlelight

Poets Are Born When Hearts BreakOn blue savannah plains
Below a crimson sky
Sings an azure willow
She's simply asking 'why?'

Among the yellow buds
Lay broken hearts so red
Each so very wounded
They surely must be dead

Blue grass bends in sorrow
Green parrots sing sad songs
Elven folk stand crying
For a world so full of wrong

Sunbeams kiss the dying
The moon sends healing dust
Angels sew the deep wounds
Of those who gave in trust

Faery folk bring new wings
And very special gifts
Eyes that see a thousand worlds
And words men's souls to lift

Healed, these hearts are rising
Composing ballads for the stars
Newborn poets flying
With such beauty in their sc

The Vampires BalladNight unfurls her silken wings
She paints the skies with lace
And in her blue, bright stars sing
While moonbeams light her face
Hands with magic dust the land
Her jewels we call 'frost'
Numerous as the desert sands
With morning they are lost
Wise owls sing her praises
While wolves they offer hymns
The busy world, it hushes
As if it knows its sin
Listen to her children
Sweet choir of the night
Hear their music beckon
And share my rapt delight
This the world that calls me
"Come rise up from the grave"
This the wonder my eyes see
So full of what I crave
Life and love and splendor
For these I have a thirst
Though some look with horror
Of men I'm not the worst
Immortal and accursed
Still I dare to love
Though in grief immersed
And hated up above
Still my heart remembers
And yes, I see your face
Memories still linger
This heavens only grace
Crimson floods give succor
But only for a while
For more than blood I hunger
Still pining for your smile
Centuries they come and go
Upon

Romeo's BalladTears like cherry blossom
Keep falling in the wind
Undying love a chasm
Where grieving echoes sing
Mighty wings now broken
Bloody feathers in the sand
Love that went unspoken
Is it dying in my hands?
This world it could not know
Was not allowed to see
The work of Cupid's bow
Or what you mean to me
Love hidden in the darkness
How could it thrive and grow
Longing for sweet wholeness
How could we treat it so?
Love should not be secret
For the rose it needs the sun
How could we be complete
When we could not be one?
So bring my cup of sorrow
It must take me where it will
There will be no tomorrow
For my heart will soon be still...

My RoseHow can I extol thee
Paint a perfect vision
Sing a golden sunbeam
Write what can't be written?

Soul of burning wonder
Angelic, perfect heart
Overwhelmed I struggle
To capture thee with art

How can words paint heaven
The beauty I perceive
The rising sun of love
Such words I cannot bleed

Unworthy this poor tongue
To ring with fulsome praise
To sing a truthful hymn
Would take me all my days

Daughter of creation
Sacred jewel of night
Within this lonely heart
Shines your radiant light

How to scribe such beauty?
One comparison I know
Thou my hearts desire
Art like a perfect Rose...

Hope and broken dreamsLove it always beckons
Forever out of reach
Like the warm blue ocean
That laps the golden beach
There my soul it wanders
This shore of broken dreams
Living in the shadows
Of 'ifs' and 'might have been's'
Foolish heart stop wishing
Release me from this thirst
Of all the hurts and pains
Loneliness is the worst
To hear your voice I hunger
To see your face I yearn
Pain beyond enduring
My heart will you not learn?
How can I stop dreaming
Or learn to act my age
When this poetic spirit
Pours my heart upon the page
Grey gives way to sunshine
Hope lifts its dying head
I find a grain of comfort
In something that you've said
Sitting on the golden sand
I look out to the sea
rolling blue enchantment
Bids me "dream of what might be"

A Poets TaleThunder rolls through heaven
And lightening falls like spears
Pain is heard in howling gales
Rain hides the flow of tears

This heart it softly rages
Howls against the loneliness
Yet wears a happy mask
To hide what it won't confess

Hurt in every lonely step
That cold and empty bed
Memories of better days
That echo in my head

Here the battered keyboard
That helps to keep me sane
Words that bleed with hurt
And yet the truth remains

Within this wounded heart
Love to give I've plenty
All around is beauty
Yet my world is empty

Thus the pilgrim poet
Found his haunting voice
The cost by world extracted
That did not give him cho

Unbreakable Love...Life and sun are waning
Nights beauty paints the sky
Stars like jewels sparkle
Full moon is rising high
Grief and sadness choke me
My broken heart a chain
When your world is empty
What comfort can remain?
And so to you I call
The doors are open wide
Come to me my darling
I must be by your side
Silver light reveals you
You glide on rolling mist
Bringing me salvation
With your beloved kiss
Once so frail and ashen
Your beauty blazes bright
Death it could not hold you
Behold the queen of night
In your arms I tremble
But soon all fear is lost
My love it knows no bounds
Whatever it may cost
So my darling take me
Pain in passion drowned
Blood and life both given
That heaven may be found...

Home?Across the sea of hope and fear
Far beyond the spires of faith
A memory flickers in the dark
Like a fading, tremulous wraith

Sweet echoes sing unto my soul
With such treacherous siren calls
Tainted love that baits the trap
And beckons the heart to fall

Then like the rays of golden dawn
Rising beauty lights my sky
Through this veil of silver tears
A heavenly rainbow flies

Soaring through cerulean blue
On a mystic chariot of fire
I follow where the colors lead
And splendor would inspire

I feel my spirit soaring
Sacred steed with wings of flame
A universe unfolding
And stardust for a frame

The Kiss...Sunlight slowly fading
Sets chained shadows free
Dusk her wings unfurling
Sings praise to what shall be
Comes the velvet darkness
Replete with silver stars
Moonbeams join in congress
And herald what is ours
Scarlet billows call me
They rouse me from this sleep
Death surrenders sweetly
Stone angels do not weep
I can hear them singing
My children of the night
Serenade enthralling
My wolves a sheer delight
Through the graveyard walking
I smile and bless the night
You, my love, are dreaming
Such raptures I incite
To your side unerring
Our love it draws me nigh
Life and death deferring
I kiss you with a sigh
Your dream deftly shaping
I swear you'll feel no pain
Mortal life though leaving
Our love, it shall remain
Scarlet life is flowing
Your blood such honeyed wine
In this gentle knowing
Love, I will make you mine
Now in triumph rising
This hateful dawn I'll flee

At Last...On summers wings doth heaven rise
And banish dread despair
Sweet succor in the dawns reprise
That brings faint heart repair
Purest blue the welcome herald
Burnished by that princely orb
Winters grip at last annulled
Come golden kiss, let me absorb
See, the hand of God is painting
The rainbow is his brush
An end to endless waiting
How awesome is this rush
Joy and colors bursting
My soul at last is free
With love my eyes are gazing
Such miracles I see
Life from death is springing

Sacred wisps of color

Here true wonder conjured
No point in asking why
Eternity is painted
On mighty wheels of grace
Where the hand that molded
The blessed eye that traced?

A Samhain Wish...

Beneath this silver moon

I kneel and make a wish

To hold you in my arms

And steal a tender kiss

Heart, I fight no longer

I follow where you lead

Maybe in the giving

From hurt I will be freed

Mother moon grant favor

Let two hearts beat as one

Loneliness please vanquish

Neath light of moon and sun

Let words bleed together

Poetic hearts run free

Grant that in the joining

New hopes and dreams we see...
